Identity Verification Certificate: Important Information

Enliven Co certificates record identity verification and AML/CTF screening conducted by S Jun Pty Ltd trading as Enliven Co (ABN 67 256 840 024) ("Enliven Co"), based on the documents, biometrics and declarations submitted at the recorded timestamp.

Verification and screening

Enliven Co assesses the identity documents and performs the biometric facial comparison itself. Sanctions, politically exposed person (PEP) and adverse media screening is performed using ComplyAdvantage, a third-party financial crime data provider whose data includes the DFAT Consolidated List, the UN Security Council Consolidated List and the OFAC sanctions lists. Screening results reflect the provider's data at the time of the check.

Role of Enliven Co

Enliven Co acts solely as an independent verification technology provider and is not the recipient's compliance adviser. Certificates are supplied for customer due diligence and record-keeping purposes only. They do not constitute legal, regulatory or compliance advice, and are not a representation that the verification discharges any obligation of the recipient.

Responsibility of the reporting entity

Under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), the reporting entity remains solely responsible for:

  • assessing money laundering and terrorism financing risk
  • reviewing and resolving possible screening matches
  • deciding whether to onboard or transact with any person or entity
  • all reporting to AUSTRAC, including suspicious matter reports, threshold transaction reports, international funds transfer instruction reports and compliance reports

Enliven Co does not submit, assess or determine the need for any report to AUSTRAC. A reporting entity that relies on a verification remains responsible for its own compliance with the Act. Possible screening matches are flagged to the reporting entity for its own review and determination and are never automatically cleared.

Point in time

Each certificate reflects the position at its recorded timestamp only and does not constitute ongoing customer due diligence or transaction monitoring.

No warranty

Enliven Co gives no warranty as to the completeness, accuracy, currency or availability of third-party screening data, or as to document forgery or identity fraud not detected by the automated checks described in the certificate.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, Enliven Co's liability for any claim in connection with a verification is limited to resupplying the verification service or refunding the fees paid for it, at Enliven Co's election.

Record keeping

Record keeping. Retain certificates with your AML/CTF customer due diligence records for the duration of your relationship with the customer and for at least seven years after it ends, or as otherwise required by the AML/CTF Act and Rules.
